Barbara is really excited Andrew Lloyd Weber will be on the show. She called him a genius.

The first "hot" topic of the day was Melissa Rivers' boyfriend, who is the head of a porn company. Joan says she doesn't have a problem with it and Whoopi asked the other hosts if they would. Hasselbeck said should you be happy your partner has a job right now. Sherri said you hear a lot of shady things with the porn industry and is concerned about the drugs, exploitation and mental abuse involved. Whoopi said in all industries, women have experienced that and compared it to the Victoria Secret commercials. Joy joked some guys take their work home with them and may need a chiropractor. Barb said she would have a problem with it but we wish her well.
Maybe it's me, but there's something backhanded about them bringing this issue up AFTER their appearance on the show. It's not really a "hot" topic and I wonder why they did not discuss this with Joan when she was there next to them.

Next topic was Demi Moore's stay at a hospital and how her estranged husband, Ashton Kushter, is still in Brazil. The question was whether he should come home to be by his wife's side. Hasselbeck said maybe she does not want him there. Joy thinks her ex, Bruce Willis, should go. Barbara mentions how her upcoming divorce has evidently taken a toll on her and mentions she'd interviewed her before. She thinks it would be nice if Ashton was there for her. Sherri doesn't think Ashton should be the bad guy in this.

They then discussed Alaska Airline's decision to stop handing out prayer cards to passengers. They say they want to respect every one's beliefs and traditions. Whoopi sees it as a means to panic people. She's fine with prayer cards, just not on a plane.

After break, Kyle Richards was at the table. Kyle is an actress and television personality. She is known for returning to television on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Richards' siblings are Kathy Hilton (her older half-sister from her mother's first marriage to Lawrence Avanzino; born 1959) and Kim Richards (born 1964). Nicky and Paris Hilton are her nieces. Kyle's recent book is "Life Is Not a Reality Show: Keeping It Real with the Housewife Who Does It All". In it, "she reveals how she achieves that perfect mix of celebrity and normality. In this collection of the best tips, advice, and strategies she knows, Kyle’s talking friend to friend so you can create that blend of glitz and know-how in your own life." (Source: Amazon.com ). One subject they discussed from it was her assertion that if a spouse cheats once on his/her mate, he should not tell that person if it never happens again. Kyle insists it's not a pass for a one night stand and does not condone cheating.She said it pertains to a situation of her friend who had a beautiful marriage and loved her husband but made a mistake. Kyle said she knew the woman was in enough pain and that if she told, her husband would leave her.
She also talked about her wonderful marriage and that her children are turning out well because of the way they raised them. With all the media information out there regarding weight and body issues, she advises her daughters to be confident. She also talked about Paris, saying she's made mistakes but has a good heart.
Kyle does not believe in splitting a check with a man on a date. She said she's old fashioned and thinks the man should always pay, no matter how long they've dated.
Kyle also discussed being on the Real Housewives show, saying how difficult it is to have her and her sister, Kim's, lives played out on TV. She said Kim is doing fine and is sober now.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on BRAVO TV.

The next guest to appear was Andrew Lloyd Webber. Andrew is an English composer of musical theatre.
Lloyd Webber has achieved great popular success in musical theatre. Several of his musicals have run for more than a decade both in the West End and on Broadway. He has composed 13 musicals, a song cycle, a set of variations, two film scores, and a Latin Requiem Mass. His company, the Really Useful Group, is one of the largest theatre operators in London. Producers in several parts of the UK have staged productions, including national tours, of the Lloyd Webber musicals under licence from the Really Useful Group. (Source: Wiki ).
Andrew first performed a medley of different classics he composed. He then sat on the couch with the hosts and talked about his career. He said he had two interests as a kid - music and art. He had thought about art but music took over quite early for him.
Andrew talked about "Phantom of the Opera", saying the attraction to the story is that everyone has something about themselves that they are not happy with. He also talked about meeting Frank Sinatra at a bar. He said Frank vaguely recognized him and ended up playing songs for him.

The final guests were the stars of Food Network's "Fat Chef", Michael Minano and Melba Wilson. “Fat Chef,” starting Thursday on the Food Network, follows a dozen kitchen masters as they struggle to shed a quarter of their body mass in just four months with the help of therapists, nutritionists and trainers — but without the luxury of leaving their calorie-enriched jobs. Michael is a pastry chef and weighed over 500 pounds. He said he his line of work plus the hours contributed to the weight gain. Melba own a restaurant and said she'd gained weight with her son. She said working in a restaurant doesn't help because she's always around great food. Melba thinks the issue is that she never takes time for her.
Michael was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. He said when he got the diagnosis, it still was not a wake up call for him. Melba thinks Fat Chef was a great opportunity for her to avoid getting diabetes.
Professional trainer Robert Brace and nutritionist Christine Avanti appeared to discuss the chefs. Robert said he had to get Michael from being sedentary to active by doing a 28 day challenge program.
Michael has lost 100 pounds and Melba has lost 38.
Sherri had to abruptly cut Robert off while he was speaking because they ran out of time.

Star Jones to Appear on The View Feb 22

Star Jones is set to return to The View on Feb. 22 -- the first time she's appeared on the women's chat show since her bitter 2006 departure, one that sparked a longstanding beef with Barbara Walters and other co-hosts.
Jones, 49, will appear alongside Walters and the other women to talk up her work with the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" public information campaign to raise awareness about heart disease among women.

Regarding Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's child wanting to dress more like a boy:

But you also...protect their...I mean...we talk about protecting our children in terms of safety and health but we also should protect them emotionally, right and psychologically and I think if you know that your child is (takes breath)...in a way suffering or feeling trapped...ummm...being forced by society to wear certain clothing type..umm..based on gender, then as a parent (pause) and not having gone through this myself...ummm...I would imagine that you would want to make the best decision for your child to keep them safe there (gestures to heart) too not just externally in terms of safety etcetera but also just in their hearts and mind so they feel confident in who they are ... -Elisbeth Hasselbeck 1/24/12

Whoopi was absent, she's "under the weather".

The first "hot" topic of the day were the Academy Award nominations. Joy said she's seen almost all the movies listed but doesn't believe any deserve an Oscar. Sherri wasn't surprised Octavia Spencer was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in "The Help". She thinks Octavia's nomination is inspiring because she'd never had any major roles in movies before.

Next topic was how Radar Online is saying Jim Carey's daughter, Jane, received special treatment in American Idol audition. They say she did not wait in line and had an appointment to audition, unlike everyone else. Sherri is not surprised and said the bad part would have been if Jane had been sent to Hollywood and could not sing. Joy thinks the contestants should be treated the same. Hasselbeck thinks this will haunt her and she will have to work against the fact that she did not wait in line. Barb seemed to sypathize and said it's difficult being the child of a celebrity

After a break, they talked about Sex and the City's star Cynthia Nixon's assertion that she chooses to be gay. This has caused quite and outrage from some in the gay community, who ask that she change her statement. Joy started talking about maybe Cynthia is bisexual and then told some lame joke. Sherri said she's not for them trying to get what Cynthia was going to say. Barbara explained that the reason gay people find this difficult is for so long there has been this concerted effort to send people to programs to get them to change and homosexuals say it's not a choice.

Next topic was the GOP presidential debate that aired last night. Barbara bought up how Brian Williams set the rule that there would be no applause in the audience and that that is what Newt seems to feed off of. Hasselbeck said that's the worst debate she's ever seen and that the American people deserve better. She seemed to imply that there was some conspiracy for a Republican not to get applause. It's also, interestingly, the same whine Newt is making. Sherri doesn't like to hear when someone said they will not talk about something. They also discussed Mitt's taxes. Joy said it's not about him having money, it's about the tax code not being fair. Hasselbeck was lauding how much Mitt has donated. She also bought up Obama for some reason or another. Sherri wonders if Mitt used loopholes to get around paying what was owed.

After the second break, they discussed Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter. Apparently, she likes to dress like a boy and likes to be called Shax. Should her parents give her the power to make that decision. Joy ttalked about how her daughter would only wear dresses, even on 30 degree weather. She thinks they should be allowed to dress how they want because it allows them to be who they are.Sherri - who won't allow her son to read a book about two male penguines raising a baby penguin - is concerned that you're allowing them to make decisions that will affect them for the rest of their life. Yeah, Wearing jeans and a baseball hat cocked to the side will destroy that girl.

The first guests to appear were mother/daughter Joan and Melissa Rivers. They'd started talking but not talking about some woman in England who has two vaginas bit Barb did not want to discuss it and spent an awful long time talking over anything they were saying about it. Apparently, Melissa's boyfriend Steve Hersch, made some offer to that woman but I don't know what is was. Nor do I really want to know.
But Joan says she likes him. She says she thinks he's great and that he's smart.
Melissa and her exboyfriend lived together for three years before their breakup. She said her son took it very hard and that the split was like a divorce. She also said she found out about her boyfriend's cheating from reading the internet. Joan joked that Cooper (the son) is doing better because he's now dating Demi Moore (that made me laugh)
They then discussed their reality show, "Joan Knows Best". On one episode, Joan allows herself to be filmed having plastic surgery and allows herself to be seen without makeup. She said if you're going to do a reality show, it should be real reality. She thinks that's why theirs work so well.
Melissa reveals she had a near death experience where the car they were in went over a manhole and it exploded.
"Joan Knows Best" airs Tuesday nights on WE TV.

Dylan Ratigan appeared next. Dylan is host of MSNBC's The Dylan Ratigan Show, the highest-rated, non-prime time show on the network, aimed at critiquing what Ratigan sees as an unholy alliance between big business and government. He is also a frequent contributor on The Huffington Post. (Source: Wiki ). He was there to promote his book which discusses how the government "bows to bankers and corporate billions". He said his biggest gripe is that we have two sets of rules in this country and cited Jim Carey's daughter on American Idol as a classic example. Dylan thinks both political parties have been participating in creating two sets of rules. He said seeing Mitt's low tax payment is a teachable moment for us to learn. He thinks we've lost sight of the fact that in order to have prosperity, money has to be coming into your country. He said the gates that make that happen is your tax code, your trade policy and your banking policy. Dylan says banks aren't lending and trade policies are not pushing money into America. He said there are indicators that the country is stabelizing which is encouraging and allows us to summon more ruthlessness to solve it and align with one another. Dylan thinks the solution is addressing the housing problem, revamp tax code and change the way we alocate recources.

The first "hot" topic of the day was Steven Tyler "butchering" the National Anthem. Barb said there was a lot of criticism about it but you know what you are going to get with Tyler. Whoopi thinks they should have had an electric guitar behind him, rocker style. Hasselbeck said her kids sing the National Antherm "all the time" in their house.

Next topic was Newt Gingriches South Carolina primary win, despite the bad press he received from his ex wike's Nightline interview last week. As a member of the elite media, Barb said John King made a mistake asking about it at the begin of the debate.She thinks one of the reasons Gingrich is ahead is because of the anger at the media. She thinks the more he berates them, the higher up his ratings go. Hasselbeck - who'd previously said a man who cheats on his wife is not a good leader - said the question to be asked is do we want a perfect man or perfect president. Whoopi said she wishes they had asked that years ago when they went after Pres. Bill Clinton. (thank you, Whoopi). She also bought up how Gingrich said the media is protecting President Obama and said this had nothing to do with him.

They then discussed Joe Patermo's recent passing from lung cancer. Barb mentioned how they were in talks to do an interview with him. She also talked about him dying amist the Sandowski sexual abuse scandal and how he'd had awards in his names rescinded. After his death, he will have a large tribute to him showing how beloved he was to Penn State.

After break, they talked about Carnival Cruise Lines, who offered 30% off cruise for the people involved in the boat tragedy. Barb said the question is whether people will still take cruises. Whoopi said she likes cruises but has questioned what she would do if the boat sank. Sherri said she never pays attention to the safety talks whenever she flies in an airplane.

They then talked about Seal and Heidi Klume announcing they will split up. Hasselbeck said if they're not safe, no one is safe. She also said said she thinks seperation is to end (marriage) but it could also be a means to them reuniting) Sherri rightfully said we get into trouble when we look to celebrity marriages as "if they can't make it, what about us". Still, she's sad they split. Me too, I love them together. Hasselbeck said she and her husband are reading a book on marriage. Sherri then started talking about Hasselbeck going to a marriage councelor in an Amish skirt. Not sure what that was about.

The first guest to appear was Katherine Heigl. Katherine is an actress and producer. She is possibly best known for her role as Dr. Izzie Stevens on ABC's Grey's Anatomy from 2005 to 2010, for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress – Drama Series in 2007. She has also starred in films such as Knocked Up, Zyzzyx Road and 27 Dresses. (Source: Wiki )
Katherine wed and has an adopted child, who ran onstage during the interview. She'd initially felt that adopting was selfish because it's a commitment and you'd have to put your career on hold in order to be a mom. She's since changed her stance on that, saying she loves children and always wanted to be a mother.
Heigl said she'd be willing to return to "Grey's Anatomy" to tie up the storyline but understands if they don't want her to because she's got a lot (of storylines) going on there. She said she's sometimes sad that she left because she misses her friends and it was a great working environment.
They then discussed the movie "One For the money". Heigl plays Stephanie Plum, who is out of work and out of cash. She turns in desperation to her disreputable cousin Vinnie, of Vinnie's Bail Bonds, for work. Despite having no equipment, training or particular skill she becomes a bail enforcement agent , chasing after Vinnie's highest stakes bail jumper: Joe Morelli, a former vice cop who is wanted for murder, who also happened to seduce and dump Stephanie back in high school. Katherine describes the books as fun and addicting. She said she read the first one years ago and was hooked. Sherri plays a hooker by the name of "Lula" in the movie.
Janet Evanovich joined them. Janet is the writer of the books that the movie is based on. She began her career writing short contemporary romance novels under the pen name Steffie Hall, but gained fame authoring the series featuring Stephanie Plum. The 18 novels in this series consistently top the New York Times and Amazon bestseller lists, most recently with Explosive Eighteen. (Source: Wiki)
Janet said the key to the book success is the character Stephanie, who is not great at her job but gets the job done. She said in watching the movie, she realized Stephanie is a strong woman, and that's the appeal. Janet was excited Katherine was cast because she's been a fan of hers for awhile. She was also approving of Sherri's acting as Lula, saying she had a lot of guts in some of the clothes she wore. Janet said she got the ideas for certain characters because she's related to a lot of them. She hopes there will be more movies in the works based on the novels.
Katherine talked about the "Funny or Die" ad campaign "I Hate Balls". It's to encourage people to have their animal spayed or neutered.

Rosemarie Terenzio was the final guest. RoseMarie was John F. Kennedy Jr.'s personal assistant, his publicist, and one of his closest confidantes during the last five years of his life. In this, her first memoir, she bravely recounts her own Fairy Tale Interrupted, describing the unlikely friendship between a blue-collar girl from the Bronx and John F. RoseMarie said she was working at a PR firm when John came in and took over her office. She was not happy and let him know it. As a result, John Jr. hired her as his assistant. RoseMarie said she had a great job being his assistant and it was the best job she ever had.
They discussed the magazine "George" and of course Barb mentioned how she was on one cover.
They then discussed rumors regarding John Jr. and his wife, Caroline. RoseMarie affirmed that he and Caroline were not living apart and they had the same ups and downs in their relationship like everyone else. She also said the paparrazi scared Caroline and were very aggresive with her. RoseMarie speculates that John could not really protect his wife from that and she thinks it made him anxious. She also said Caroline was starting to come to terms with it and laugh at it.
Caroline was not initially going to board the fateful airplane to attend the Kennedy wedding but RoseMarie talked her into it. She said she will always regret that, even though she does not think she was responsible for what happened.
RoseMarie speculates John Jr.'s relationship with Jackie was close. She said he was good with manners and respected women.

On Today's Show: Cuba Gooding Jr., John Quinones, Dr. Lindsey Duncan, reducing household waste

The first "hot" topic of the day was Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richard's book, "Life is Not a Reality Show". In it, she says if you cheat on your mate only once, you probably should not tell. Barbara agreed, saying she doesn't think you should ever tell. Joy bought up the point that you should ask "how am I helping this person [by disclosing the affair]. Sherri said if you cheat more than once, you are putting them at harm for getting a disease. Whoopi thinks when people marry, they are not honest anyway. She thinks if you want to cheat, you should tell your partner beforehand and give them the choice of staying with you. Barb wonders if you see someone you know out with someone else, should you tell their mate. Sherri said no. Joy answered that no good deed goes unpunished and they will turn on you.

Next topic was another book, "Two Plus Two". It discusses how couples benefit from being friends with other couples. Hasselbeck thinks there is something to that, saying there's accountability when you have another couple around. Barb said it's tough for couples to be friends sometimes because not everyone clicks.

The first guest to appear was actor Cuba Gooding Jr. He is best known for his Academy Award-winning portrayal of Rod Tidwell in Cameron Crowe's 1996 film Jerry Maguire. (Source: Wiki )
Gooding stars in the film "Red Tails"; a 2012 action drama film directed by Anthony Hemingway, from a screenplay by John Ridley and Aaron McGruder. The story, written by Ridley, is inspired by true events. George Lucas serves as the executive producer for the project. It is based on the Tuskegee Airmen, a group of African American servicemen during World War II, and is the first Lucasfilm production since Radioland Murders (1994) not associated with the Indiana Jones or Star Wars franchises. Gooding's appearance in the movie will mark his potentially triumphant return to the big screen since American Gangster.
Cuba cites Whoopi as the inspiration for doing this film, explaining that the director did not want to meet with him because he had been previously in an HBO production about this same story. Whoopi had advised that Cuba MAKE him meet you and on that's what he did.
Cuba was among the people who recently visited the White House for a screening of the movie. He said there are less than 70 airmen still living. Has said it's important to go out and support this movie because it's a part of history.
"Red Tails" opens in theaters January 20, 2012.

John Quinones appeared next. John is an ABC News correspondent, and currently the host of Primetime: What Would You Do? (Source: Wiki ). He was there to talk about an upcoming show that tests how people would react in outrageous and uncomfortable situations. He said the success of the show is due to it showing the good in all of us. Over time, he said he thinks people get more involved, possibly because of watching the show.
They showed clips from the show featuring an inebriated woman who tried to get her daughter to drive the car, man who flirts with another man while his pregnant wife is in the restaurant bathroom, mother in a bakery who uses a baby monitor to listen to her incessantly crying newborn, dishonest customers using tricks to get free meal at restaurant.
"What Would You Do" airs tonight on ABC.

The Johnson family (Bea, Scott, Max and Leo) were the next guests to appear. They were there to talk about how to reduce waste in a household. Bea said she's created a system which includes refusing things they don't need, like freebies, junk mail and single use plastics. She also reduces items they do need, and reuses and recycles things they have. It started because they had to downsize into a smaller place, which led to more time on reeducating themselves on environmental issues.
Scott said he was he was not initially on board but said after they made the change, they were saving 40% so he was sold.
Bea's tips are: use totes when shopping, use cloth bags and her own containers to the store and have the employees fill it with the items she needs. Scott uses kitchen scraps, throws into worm bin where it's broken down into soil amendment.

It really was a rather interesting segment.

Dr. Lindsey Duncan was the last guest to appear. Dr. Duncan was there to talk about foods that cure. He believes we should look to foods to help us with common medical problems, as a lot of medicines come from plants. Foods discussed were:
-Maca - which is a libido booster

The first "hot" topic of the day was Rick Perry's withdrawal from the presidential race.

They also discussed the recent report that Mitt Romney did not win Iowa as was previously thought. A recount found that Rick Santorum was the winner. Whoopi called it a page-turning book. Sherri said Rick doesn't get the bells and whistles and balloons because of the win.

Next topic was the Italian cruise ship captain has denied reports that he abandoned the sinking ship. He said the boat shifted and fell into the life boat. Joy called it the worst excuse she's ever heard.

They then discussed passengers of a British Airways flight who were freaked out after an automated announcement told them there would be an emergency landing on the water. Sherri said it's a horrible feeling wondering "what if".

After break, they talked about Mark Wahlberg, who said in a Men's Journal article that if he were on one of the planes (during 9/11), it would not have gone down. He's since been loudly criticized for the comment and has apologized. Whoopi said she can relate because she's made similar comments regarding the KKK and was told by someone that she would not have reacted like she says she would if she were in the situation. Joy said there were no stunt doubles on the planes. She also suggests the comments were in trying to promote his upcoming movie.

Next subject was Cindy Crawford's 10 year-old daughter, who recently made her modeling debut. Whoopi asks if it's too young to get involved in the fashion world. Joy answered that as long as she's modeling clothes and not bikinis and that it's fine. Sherri said the daughter is tall and beautiful like her mom. Hasselbeck says Cindy will be a good coach and guide for her daughter.

They then moved on to talking about tennis star Marcos Baghdatis' recent outburst on the court. Joy compared him to John McEnroe.

The first guest to appear was ABC News correspondent Brian Ross. Ross did an interview with one of Newt Gingrich's ex wives Marianne that will air tonight. Ross explains this is the first interview she's given since her divorce but does not think it's much of a bombshell as some think it will be. He said she spoke in measured tones, saying she does not think Newt has the moral character to be president. Ross said the interview gives pause to the Gingrich campaign of family values. He mentioned how Gingrich had an affair for six years, at a time he was criticizing President Clinton. Maryanne said he was not living the way he was speaking.
The interview airs tonight on "Nightline".

Audra McDonald appeared next. Audra is an actress and singer. She currently stars in the ABC television drama Private Practice as Dr. Naomi Bennett. She has appeared on the stage in both musicals and dramas, such as Ragtime and A Raisin in the Sun. She maintains an active concert and recording career, performing song cycles and operas as well as performing in concert throughout the US. She has won the Tony Award four times. (Source: Wiki) Audra said she misses the cast from Private Practice but maintains contact with some of the cast members. She said she initially accepted the part in Private Practice to get over the fear of acting in front of the camera. She thinks it's different being on stage compared to the camera being right in your face.
Audra is in the Broadway musical "Porgy and Bess". She said it's a little different than the original opera but is the same story. Audra also talked about Steven Sondheim's criticism of the show, saying "the masterpiece has been violated". She explains that he took issue with the updates of the music. She said they are not taking away from the original production, they are adding to it.

Michael Symon was the next guest to appear. Symon is a James Beard Foundation Award-winning American chef,restaurateur, television personality, and author. He is seen regularly on Food Network on shows such as Iron Chef America, Food Feuds, and The Best Thing I Ever Ate, as well as Cook Like an Iron Chef on the Cooking Channel and The Chew on ABC. He has also made numerous contributions to magazines and periodicals such as Bon Appétit, Esquire, Food Arts, Gourmet, Saveur and O, The Oprah Magazine. (Source: Wiki)
He was there to teach Sherri how to cook (Cuz I'm sure she's got a cookbook deal in the works as I type). They made a meat and potatoes dish using the following ingredients: diced potatoes, corned beef, salt, onion and garlic and poached eggs.
He also prepared a butternut squash dish.
Michael is a current co-host of "The Chew", talk show/cooking show that airs in the United States on the ABC as part of the network's weekday daytime lineup. He also has a new show on the Food Network called "Symon's Suppers".

The cast of Porgy and Bess were the last to appear. Porgy & Bess Porgy and Bess is an opera, first performed in 1935, with music by George Gershwin, libretto by DuBose Heyward, and lyrics by Ira Gershwin and DuBose Heyward. It was based on DuBose Heyward's novel Porgy and subsequent play of the same title, which he co-wrote with his wife Dorothy Heyward. All three works deal with African-American life in the fictitious Catfish Row (based on the area of Cabbage Row) in Charleston, South Carolina, in the early 1920s.
Porgy and Bess tells the story of Porgy, a disabled black beggar living in the slums of Charleston, South Carolina. It deals with his attempts to rescue Bess from the clutches of Crown, her violent and possessive lover, and Sportin' Life, the drug dealer. Happy Wednesday. It's Humpday!
I'm a happy camper today because I purchased UGG boots but some pants I wore must have rubbed the blue dye on them and I ended up with dark splotches all over. Looked awful. So last night, I finally decided to try to clean them, hoping the spots would come off. They did. Whew.
I know it's not like solving peace in the Middle East, but I'm relieved the boots look presentable again. They are so warm and comfy.

The first "hot" topic of the day was how Elton John and his husband, David, aren't happy with Madonna's Golden Globe Award. Apparently Elton grimaced when her name was read as winner and David wrote how the awards have no merit now. Barb said she loves Elton and David but when you lose you should be gracious. Hasselbeck thinks they are upset that she fakes a British accent.
Huh?
Joy wonders why Elton even cares about the award. Whoopi answered that everyone cares when they are nominated.

Next topic was an audio recording that surfaced regarding the recent Italian cruise liner that sank. It is between the captain and the port authority and at one point, the captain says he had left the ship. The port authority then ordered him to return to the ship and coordinate the operations. Barb bought up Capt. Sully, who safely landed his airplane and made sure everyone on board had gotten off safely. Joy said there should be some "chicken" test before being given the job. Hasselbeck said sometimes you don't know until you are in that situation.

They then discussed John Edwards, who has recently been diagnosed with having health issues. Whoopi wonders if people should ease up on him.Hasselbeck blabbered about his legal issues, saying those should not be eased up. She then said she does not feel bad for him. Joy said Edwards almost ruined the 2008 election (REALLY???) and then bought up how he wants to marry Rielle Hunter.

After break, they talked about how the website, Zappos. was hacked. It exposed customer's names, addresses, phone numbers and last four digits of their credit card. I'm one of them. Whoopi posed the question of whether it would make people stop shopping online. Hasselbeck claims there is enough info there that a thief could open up a new credit card under someone else's name.
Then they pivoted to discussing how Wikipedia will shut down tomorrow in protest of the SOPA Bill.

Whoppi says people are wondering if Beyonce's skin was lightened on her latest album cover. She said she doesn't think it even looks like her. Barbara wonders why Beyonce would lighten the pic and have platinum hair. Hasselbeck thinks people are going after Beyonce when there are tons of other people on magazine covers doing the same.

Next subject was a grandmother who was assaulted at Chuck E Cheese because she asked people at a nearby table to watch their language. Hasselbeck said she thinks you have the right to mention to someone that their language is harsh in a kid-friendly place. Whoopi - who teaches her grand kids to curse - agreed. Joy said she would have just got up and left the establishment because there are crazy people everywhere.

The first guest to appear was Liam Neeson. Liam is an Irish actor who has been nominated for an Oscar, a BAFTA and three Golden Globe Awards. Liam was there to talk about his latest film, "The Grey". It's about an oil drilling team's struggle to survive after a plane crash strands them in the wild. Hunting the humans are a pack of wolves who see them as intruders. Liam talked about how cold it was and how he'd probably not held up too well in real life. Despite that, he enjoyed making the film and said it was fun.
Liam also discussed an upcoming sketch he will be doing with actor/comedian Ricky Gervais. He mentioned how he heard this year, Ricky was more tame when hosting the Golden Globe Awards show this year and maybe it's because he was warned to tone things down.
"The Grey" opens January 27.

Drs. Stephen Lamb and Jorge Rodriguez appeared next. They were there for the latest "Ask the Doctor's" segment. The first question they asked had to do with Paula Dean and whether her cooking caused her diabetes. Dr. Rodriguez said genetics, being overweight and not having enough exercise is what leads to Type-2 Diabetes. Next question had to do with the nicotine patch and whether they are effective or not. Dr. Lamb said the patch is used as bridge between going from smoking to non-smoking. He said many times. people end up going back to smoking. Joy then asked what is better; to take the pills or drink the liquid when getting a colonoscopy. Dr. Rodriguez said he prefers that his patients drink the 4 liters because it gives a better prep. Joy wasn't too happy with that, insisting she prefers the pill. Last question had to do with yoga and whether it's actually bad for you. Dr. Rodriguez said it can be harmful if you don't stretch and warm up. Dr. Lamb said on the whole, yoga is a real good thing to do because it reduces stress and lowers blood pressure. However, you do have to be smart about it and do things in a reasonable way.

The first topic of the day was how the hosts are there paying tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Joy talked about how she read that he was a "flawed" leader and thinks every leader was flawed. Barbara said she doesn't think he would have dreamed that we would have a Black president. Sherri feels that with race being an issue with everything, we need marches now. Hasselbeck had the nerve to say that she loved how Martin Luther King's mission was doing for others.
Really???

Next topic was the strange weather. Whoopi said she was in Florida and discussed how miserable she was with the cold. Barbara suggested she should have Googled what the weather would be like. To be honest I sorta tuned out because I'm not interested in Whoopi getting center stage to whine about the weather.

They then discussed Ricky Gervaise hosting last night's Golden Globe Awards. Sherri said he wasn't [as abrasive] as he was last year. She said she was expecting a little more outrageous behavior. Barbara talked about Madonna's very muscular arms, saying how she did not like them.

After break, they talked about the Italian cruise ship ship that sunk, leaving a lot of passengers to fend for themselves. Six people dies and several are missing. Joy was amazed that with the ship toppled, people had the wherewithal to videotape what was going on. Sherri said that's the age we live in. Thankfully, Whoopi tells us they will keep us abreast of this story. Because without this show, where in the world would we get the news?

They then talked about how Kris Humphries said Kim Kardashian staged the marriage proposal, telling him what to do. Joy called him a wuss. Sherri disagreed, saying he always got on Kim on the show. She advised Kris to stop talking about this and that nothing he says will make the Kardashians look bad. Barbara said if the proposal was staged, maybe he should have thought twice about it.

Tomorrow, cooking guru Paula Dean will address rumors that she has type-2 diabetes. With her building her empire on fried and buttery foods, the hosts talked about whether this will force her to change anything. Joy said her stuff is fattening. She also read a quote from a past show where Barbara asked Dean if it bothered her to add the problem of fatty foods when we have such a big obesity problem in kids. Barbara said if Dean does have diabetes, she probably will change how she's eating and the way she cooks. Sherri hopes Dean will give healthy alternatives.

The first guest to appear was Piers Morgan. Piers is a British journalist and television presenter. He is editorial director of First News, a national newspaper for children.
Morgan branched into television mainly as a presenter, but has become best known as a judge or contestant in reality television programmes. In the UK, he was a judge on Britain's Got Talent. Morgan is best known in the United States as a judge on the show America's Got Talent, and as the winner of The Celebrity Apprentice. On 17 January 2011, he began hosting Piers Morgan Tonight for CNN in the time slot previously occupied by Larry King Live before the retirement of host Larry King.
Piers said he enjoyed Ricky Gervais as host on the Golden Globe Awards. He also thought Sofia Vegora looked great. He said women should dress for men on the Red Carpet. Piers said some women showed up in insipid pinks and whites but men don't want to see that. He also said Madonna's arms were grotesque, saying why would a woman want to look like a caveman. Piers says he's banned her from his show because of her arms.
Piers also talked about his war with Keith Olbermann. He dug at Keith for his ratings and said since he would not be covering the Iowa caucus that night, he should tune into Piers' show. Keith responded, "Great. So you'll be showing your latest suphoena". (in reference to the Rupert Murdoch scandal.) Of the scandal, he insisted it did not happen when he was editor. Piers thinks the hacking was sad for the industry and is sad "News of the World" no longer exists.
Piers thinks Hopward Stern will be great as the judge on America's Got Talent.

The next guest was Tim Gunn. Tim is a fashion consultant and television personality. He was on the faculty of Parsons The New School for Design from 1982 to 2007 and was chair of fashion design at the school from August 2000 to March 2007, after which he joined Liz Claiborne as its chief creative officer. He is well-known as on-air mentor to designers on the reality television program Project Runway. Gunn's popularity on Project Runway led to his spin-off show, Bravo's "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style", as well as his book "A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style". Tim was there to discuss last night's Golden Globe Awards. He said there was a variety of color and there were a lot of strapless dresses. He does not agree with Piers' advice of not wearing pinks and whites, saying it depends on the woman and what type of message she's trying to convey. Tim He said the best dressed couple was George Clooney and his girlfriend Stacy Kiebler. His favorite dress and person wearing it was Helen Mirran. Tim also thought Jane Fonda looked great.

Today's show is a tribute to the end of the show, One Life to Live. OLTL is an American soap opera which debuted on the ABC television network on July 15, 1968. Created by Agnes Nixon, the series was the first daytime drama to primarily feature racially and socioeconomically diverse characters and consistently emphasize social issues. One Life to Live was expanded from 30 minutes to 45 minutes on July 26, 1976, and then to a full hour on January 13, 1978.
Focused on the members and relationships of the Lord family since the show's inception, daily repeat broadcasts of the series appear weeknights on SOAPnet with a day-behind repeat airing the following weekday morning and a rebroadcast of all the previous week's episodes on Saturday nights. Taped in New York City, One Life to Live is the last American soap opera based outside the Los Angeles area.
On April 14, 2011, ABC announced that it had canceled One Life to Live, citing low ratings, high production costs and viewers' changing tastes. On July 7, 2011, production company Prospect Park announced that it would continue the show as a web series after its run on ABC, but later suspended the project due to numerous complications.
The final scenes of One Life to Live were taped on November 18, 2011. One Life to Live aired its final episode on January 13, 2012 and will be succeeded by health and lifestyle show The Revolution. (Source: Wiki )

In salute of the ending of "One Life To Live", Erika Slezak appeared as co-host. Erika is best known for her role as Victoria Lord on the American daytime soap opera One Life to Live from 1971-2012. She is one of the longest-serving serial actors in American media, playing original and central heroine Victoria "Viki" Lord. She has won a record six Daytime Emmy Awards for the role. They showed different clips of Erika in her role as Vickie, noting how she's had various personalities.

Ther then talked to Agnes Nixon. Agnes is the creator of OLTL. She said Erika was chosen because because she was a great actress.

After break, Robin Strausser appeared. Strasser is best known for her Daytime Emmy Award-winning portrayal of Dr. Dorian Lord. Strasser stepped into the role in March 1979, first appearing Friday, April 13, 1979 and left in 1987, returning from February 1993 to February 2000. She reprised the role again from 2003 to August 25, 2011. (Source: Wiki ) She was also "Vickie's" archenemy.
Despite their constant fights, Erika said their characters were the strongest relationship on the show. Robin said the fighting scenes were like going into the ring with a black-belt champion. Getting choked up, she said she had the opportunity to work with the best of the best. Robin said she'll miss most Erika and the clothes.

Next to appear was Jerry verDorn is an actor, best-known for his role as Ross Marler on the CBS daytime soap opera Guiding Light. He became one of the longest-running cast members, debuting in the role on March 23, 1979 and portraying the character of Ross for over 26 years. Guiding Light took him off contract in 2005 due to severe budget cuts.[citation needed] His last appearance as Ross aired on October 11, 2005. On October 25, 2005, verDorn took over the role of Clint Buchanan (a role originated and played by Clint Ritchie) on ABC's One Life to Live. (Source: Wiki ) Jerry said he was nervous to take the role. He said he knew Clint but tried not to emulate him.

In the next segment, Robert S. Woods and Hillary B Smith came on. Robert played Bo Buchanan, a role for which he won a 1983 Daytime Emmy Award for Lead Actor. (Source: Wiki ). Hillary played the role of Llanview District Attorney Nora Hanen Buchanan on ABC's One Life to Live (OLTL), a character she has played since 1992. Almost immediately after her debut, Smith, in the role of Nora, became a centerpiece of the show, particularly for her involvement in the OLTL multiple-Emmy Award winning Marty Saybrooke rape trial storyline. He cinched the role because Erika said she prefered get the role.

James DePaiva and his (real life) wife Kassie came on next. James is known for his role on One Life to Live from 1987 to 1990 and from 1991 to 2003 as Max Holden. He made a brief return to the series in August 2007 for the 9999th and 10000th episodes. (Source: Wiki ) While on OLTL, DePaiva's married his co-star Kassie Wesley on May 31, 1996. Kassie began portraying her most notable role, the part of Blair Daimler Cramer on One Life to Live, formerly portrayed by half-Asian actress, Mia Korf. She first appeared onscreen, Friday, December 17, 1993 and has been with OLTL for 17 years. DePaiva's pairing with Roger Howarth's (and later Trevor St. John's) Todd Manning struck with viewers and the two became a supercouple. (Source: Wiki ). They said it was easy to go home with one another but it was hard having love scenes with other people. Regarding Kassie's on-air romance with Todd Manning, she said Blair and Todd together are trouble but were entertaining and that was the strength of it's longevity.

Judith Light was the final guest to appear. Light was called by her agent to audition for an understudy role in the ABC soap opera One Life to Live. Never wanting to be attached to a soap opera or a sitcom, she initially rejected the idea, until she was told that she would have a daily salary of US$350. At the audition, she realized that "the format reaches a lot of people", and that she could thereby "make a difference" and "make money" at the same time. Instead of landing an understudy role, she was recast in the role of Karen Wolek, a role that had previously been portrayed by actresses Kathryn Breech and Julia Duffy. (Source: Wiki )

Judith left OLTL and did the show "Who's the Boss", starring Tony Danza. She played Angela Bower. Judith said the transition from dram to comedy was easy. She said in their line of work, they could do many roles and knew it, it's just others that may not yet know.

I missed about 2 minutes of the show. I tuned in and the topic of discussion appeared to be Ricky Gervais and something about making sure when you're on camera to smile and laugh if he's joking about you.

The next topic was an ad the DNC put out where they showed all of Mitt Romney's gaffes. The song "True Colors" was the background music. The hosts particularly honed in on the part where they included his "I like firing people" comment. They took umbrage at it, saying he was quoted out of context. Whoopi said they will highlight wrongs during this campaign season, no matter what side is doing it. Hasselbeck then talked about how what he said was "pro- average American person" (I had to rewind three times before I scratched my head and gave up on that word salad) She asked how many people have dealt with insurance junk in trying to get them to cover something and they won't. She thinks Romney is representing something we need. Joy bought up how Romney's company DID fire people. Hasselbeck got all breathless and said Joy didn't know what she was talking about. Sherri said most people just want health insurance and is tired of all the pettiness (on both sides of course) that goes on during campaigns. Hasselbeck then decried the cash that goes into making these ads and then suggested all we need are debates.

Next topic was two widows of Robert Kardashian who say he said he was not the biological father of Khloe. Kris Jenner had affairs when she was married to him but insists he's the dad. Whoopi wonders why these woman would put crap out like that. Joy said they want attention. Sherri thinks money is the motivator.

They then discussed George Lucas, who will be putting out a World War II action movie "Red Tails". He'd been trying to make it for the past 25 years, but Hollywood would not finance it because it has an all-Black cast. Sherri thinks people should go support the film so George is not just hanging out there to dry.

Chris Cuomo appeared in the next segment to discuss crimes in the headlines. They first talked about the release of psychologists who analyzed Casey Anthony. They called her lack of concern for her dead child disturbing. Other things she discussed was her father being abusive and allegations that she was date raped. Chris this was not included in the trial because it was uncorroborated.
They also talked about Gov. Haley Barber and his recent pardons. Chris says there are a lot to be concerned about with this action and brings up how Barber may have violated the State Constitution by not publishing the names prior to the pardon.

The first guest to appear was Donnie Wahlberg. Donnie is an American singer, actor and film producer. He is a member of the popular 1980s and 1990s boy band New Kids on the Block. His work background includes music, feature films, and television. Donnie has had featured roles in the Saw films, The Sixth Sense, Boomtown and Righteous Kill, also appearing in the award-winning World War II miniseries Band of Brothers. He is also known for currently starring in the critically acclaimed drama series Blue Bloods. (Source: Wiki )
Donnie said he fought desperately to get the role and thinks it's perfect for him. He's also proud to play a New York cop, saying they are regular people who do their job to protect a great city.
Donnie also talked about his brother, Mark. He said he would never be jealous of him and is very proud of his success.
"Blue Bloods" airs Friday nights.

Heather Donohue appeared next. Heather an American writer and actress who first came to public attention after appearing as the lead character in Haxan Films' 1999 horror film The Blair Witch Project. Following the success of the film, she went on to appear in an array of independent films, as well as guest appearances on several television shows, most notably for her starring role in the science fiction miniseries Taken and a guest appearance on the sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Heather said the performance in "Blair Witch" was all improv. They spent $30,000 to shoot it themselves and the movie grossed a quarter of a billion dollars.
In 2011, Donahue signed a publishing deal for her debut book GROWGIRL, about her time as a medical marijuana grower, which was released on January 5, 2012 by Gotham Books, an imprint of Penguin Group, USA. The first "hot" topic of the day was the Supreme Court hearing regarding arguments about swearing on (network) TV. Barbara quoted Judge Scalia as basically saying network TV's days are numbered because 9 out of 10 people have cable TV. Hasselbeck breathlessly asks what safe places will there be for kids to watch TV. Whoopi pointed out that Nickelodeon and other networks are on cable and said we have in place certain times that some language cannot be aired on TV shows. She also talked about the restrictions that are placed on them by the show, mentioning they can';t show cleavage. Sherri wondered if it's ok to say "Praise Jesus", asking whether it would be bleeped out. It wasn't.

The next topic was new parents Jay Z and Beyonce supposedly lavishing their newborn with expensive baby items. Sherri said when people have their first child, sometimes they go crazy. Hasselbeck said when they had Grace, she bought wipes warmers but with her other kids she didn't. (derrrrrrr...)
Joy talked about her daughter warning them on not overloading her child with gifts this past Christmas, citing they don't have the room for it. Barbara said she gifts books.

Next topic was various child celebrities that make the transition into adulthood. Dakota Fanning is on the cover on Cosmo and Justin Bieber has said people need to accept he's not a kid anymore. Barbara pointed out this is a difficult time for these kids making the transition . She said two people did it successful; Elisabeth Taylor, Natalie Wood and Justin Timberlake.Hasselbeck thinks Cosmo made a mistake with the Fanning cover because the text that appears next to Fanning are not appropriate for a 17 year old. Whoopi defended it, saying Dakota is not a "little kids" 17. Huh?
After break,

ABC's John Burman appeared to talk about Mitt Romney winning the New Hampshire caucus last night. Burman said barring an epic event, Romney is most likely the GOP nominee. He said possible VP names being floated are Sen. Marc Rubio, Gov. Chris Christie and Gov. Suzanne Martinez. John said a Romney White House would most likely be run like a business and that's why Romney touts his "executive experience". He Jon Huntsman's problem was he was not able to attract Independents.

Suze Orman was the next guest to appear. Suze is a financial advisor, author, motivational speaker, and television host.
Orman was born in Chicago and received her B.A. in social work. She worked as a waitress in Berkeley, California before becoming a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch. In 1983 she became the vice-president of investments at Prudential Bache Securities and in 1987 founded the Suze Orman Financial Group. (Source: Wiki ) She was there for the "Bank on the View" segment. Suze was asked whether the financial situation would be affected by the election year and she said no. She said the problem is these politicians make promises to get elected and when they get into office nothing changes because they can't agree. Suze said the real problem isn't what's happening in the United States because we are a global economy. She said as a gay woman, she would not look at a Republican candidate and feels Pres. Obama is closer to her on social issues which affects her financial issues. That said, she thinks if Romney gets in, there will be no difference as far as finances are concerns.
Suze then talked about credit, saying it's important to know your FICO score. She said to increase your score, you must pay your debts on time, don't go over credit limit and don't have too much debt in relation to your credit limit. Suze said if your FICO score is low, it affects your car insurance, employers may not hire you and you may have problems getting a lease on a house or apartment.
With the recent job numbers, Suze is not convinced things are getting better as far as employment numbers and does not trust how they are calculated. She said the people she meets are still having problems finding jobs.
Suze has created a new prepaid debit card. It is called "The Approved Card" and is meant for people to have a place for their money. She said it doesn't cost much and is transparent because every transaction you do, you get a text or an email telling you what is going on with your account. Suze said you use it instead of cash and is good for people who don't carry it. She also said it's a debit card that creates a FICO score. You can find more info at TheApprovedCard.com.
Suze then answered questions: The first asked out of credit, auto and student loans, which should be paid off first . Suze said student loan because it never goes away and is not able to be discharged in bankruptcy.
Next question asked if they should use their 401K to pay off a credit card debt. Suze emphatically said no, saying money in a 401K is protected from bankruptcy.
Another question was where is the best place to save for child's college. Suze cautions that if you don't have an 8 month savings for yourself, your children will have to get it on their own. She said if you can afford it, a 529 plan is the way to go.
Suze said she invests in municipal bonds, gold and high yield and dividend exchange traded funds.
Sherri joked that Romney is looking for a running mate. Suze said "Do I look stupid?"

Barbara and Sherri were both wearing long, wrap type dresses. Barb said hers is a Halston and that she's had it for years (I really love that about her). They then showed a shot of Whoopi wearing some of the weirdest shoes I've seen yet. They were black and white and had a skinny pink heel. She was also wearing some black and white striped socks. Maybe on someone else they would look cool but on her it just looked weird and did not go with the rest of her outfit. I get that she wants to be hip and funky, but her style seems to just fall flat to me. Then Sherri talked about an accident she was involved in while riding a taxi. She said she wasn't hurt but may go see see someone to get everything checked out. Oh and while she was going through it, she was tweeting about it, asking where was her husband. Ummmkay.

The first "hot" topic of the day was new parent Jay Z writing a song about his new daughter. In it, he mentions something about Beyonce and a miscarriage. Sherri said this is the first we're hearing about it. They then discussed the talk of Beyonce and Jay Z paying 1.3 Million to the hospital and how some new parents were upset that an entire floor was shut down because of JayZ and Beyonce, making them unable to even see their own newborn babies. Hospital officials say it's blown out of proportion. Sherri doesn't blame the Carters, saying the hospital should have had everything taken care of.

The next topic was Pope Benedict and his recent State of the World address. In it, he denounced gay marriage and said it undermines the family. Newly pro-gay family advocate Hasselbeck said she's Catholic but thinks the threat on marriage is not gay people, it's divorce. Joy wonders if Benedict knows homosexuality has been around since the Neanderthals. Sherri laments how religious people condemn people when they are behaving in the same matter, citing Ted Haggard.

After break, they showed upcoming clips of the new season of The Bachelor. They then talked about how Hasselbeck watches it, complains about it and then continues to watch it. Barbara says they all love ABC but doesn't seem too thrilled to hear the talk about The Bachelor or Dancing with the Stars.

They then had a mini guest segment with "The Revolution's" Ty Pennington and Dr. Jennifer Ashton. Ty said the show addresses health, fitness, body, style, environment, etc. He said they follow the journey of a woman who goes through a five month revolution in five days. Dr. Ashton said they get along great and have a lot of fun. She said they are really committed to give great tips to help people.
The show premieres this Sunday on ABC.

Actress Kiera Knightly was the first guest. Kiera is an English actress and model. She began acting as a child and came to international notice in 2002 after co-starring in the film Bend It Like Beckham. Kiera then talked about her role in "Pirates of the Carribean". She said when she first took the role, she had no idea on what a big success it would be.

In the final segment, Hasselbeck highlighted her new gluten free cookbook. She was nervous that the hosts would not enjoy the food, but they really seemed to like it. Hasselbeck was very excited to get the thumbs up from Joy for her ziti. It was rather hard to follow the conversation though because they were all asking questions at the same time and talking over one another.

This is the first day back for the host since the holiday break. Joy said she went to New Orleans and visited the Ninth Ward. She also mentioned the work actor Brad Pitt is doing to help rebuild the city. She said she had a great time. Sherri went to L.A. bus said she really didn't do anything. However, she's happy to be on her 38th day of not drinking diet soda and says she feels good.

The next topic was Katy Perry and her split from actor Russel Brand. Barbara talked about how when she interviewed Katy, she indicated things were okay in the marriage. Sherri said no one will say to her that [their personal life] is none of her business and if they do it signifies there is something wrong in the marriage. Hasselbeck disagreed, saying something about you being guarded and a marriage is precious and you never know what's going on between two people. Sherri asked why give an interview. Whoopi answered that you're there to talk about things you are comfortable talking about and that Katie's answer during the interview was lovely.

Next topic was a book some woman wrote about First Lady Michelle Obama. In it, she claims FL Obama can't stand the constraints of being in the White House. Barbara said when she talked to the First Lady, she'd asked her about it and the First Lady said it couldn't be further from the truth. She also said said feels very blessed in this role. Barbara said she thinks Michelle Obama has been a terrific First Lady. Hasselbeck piped up with how she thinks Michele has been so relatable. Funny, a couple of years ago she was not "fresh".

After break, they discussed Casey Anthony claiming her computer being hacked and her personal video blog being leaked online. Sherri doesn't believe the computer was hacked and thinks this is an excuse. Barbara bought up how Casey is supposedly shopping for a book deal. Sherri said no one wants to buy a book about Casey Anthony. Barbara said she was found not guilty and should be allowed to pursue her life.

They then discussed a Georgia school that made headlines because of the odd math questions it asked on a quiz. School officials say they were trying to combine Math with Social Studies. Sherri said it's the perfect setup for racist jokes and that the school knew exactly what they were doing. Whoopi thinks there's a better way to teach in public schools.

The first guest to appear was Herman Cain. Herman Cain said he watched this week's past debates but did not wish he was still in the running. He calls it bittersweet because he's able to get his life back.He said he was proud that he was able to put his ideas out there, touting his 9-9-9 plan. He talked about the fighting among the Republican field and said the candidates don't really hate one another - it's the staff that does because it's a "dog-eat-dog" business. Cain addressed a comment Santorum made where he said he wanted Black people to not take handouts and instead earn their money. Cain called it suffering from "foot in mouth" and said it was a poor choice of words. He thinks he Santorum meant we need to move from an entitlement society to an empowerment society for everybody. Cain also talked about his answer during the "Most Fascinating People" interview where he said he'd want to be Secretary of State. He said we need a strong leader in that position, strategic thinking and inspiration for the troops. Cain thinks Romney will win the nomination because he has the biggest war chest. Cain also said he will make an "unconventional" endorsement (of the GOP candidates) later this month.

The final guest to appear was Roxanna Green. Roxanna is the mother of Christina Green, who was the youngest of the six victims shot and killed Saturday during the shooting spree outside a Tucson, Ariz., grocery store. Christina had gone to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' political event to "learn more about politics". She said her family has a strong faith and that's what helped them through it. She believes Christina is with her mother in heaven and that some day she will see her again. Roxanna donated Christina's organs but does not know who the recipients were. She's hoping the people come forward and that she would be honored to meet them. Roxanna has met with Rep. Gabbriella Giffords and said it was an amazing get-together. She said she was happy to comfort her and she could comfort them . She also thinks it's a miracle Giffords is still alive and prays for her everyday that she will get better. Roxanna authored the book "As Good As She Imagined: The Redeeming Story of the Angel of Tucson, Christina-Taylor Green" . She describes as an inspirational book that recounts far more than the events of 'the tragedy of Tucson and celebrates her life, along with the hope that has been born out of a nation's loss and a family's grief. Roxanna did not mention the shooter in her book and prefers to not think about him.

First they started talking about how many people were waiting in line because Justin Bieber is a guest on today's show.Sherri mentioned young girls with cameras and wondered why they weren't in school. Barb was impressed that Bieber gave Hasselbeck's son, Taylor, a high five. Joy snidely said "Well he's only 17". LOL

Hasseblbeck wished her husband Tim's grandmother "Mimi" a happy birthday. She's 80 years old and looks AMAZING.

Next topic was Dancing with the Stars. J.R. won and Whoopi said he kicked butt. They said the takeaway lesson from this year winners is how any one of them could be the winner as there were no professional dancers this season. Joy joked he went longer than 72 days. Barb said he's a true Kardashian and would make some girl a great ex husband. On a serious note, Barb said it was an inspirational night.

Justin Bieber was the first guest. Justin is a pop/R&B singer, songwriter and actor. Bieber was discovered in 2008 by Scooter Braun, who came across Bieber's videos on YouTube and later became his manager. Braun arranged for him to meet with Usher in Atlanta, Georgia, and Bieber was soon signed to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Usher, and then to a recording contract with Island Records offered by L.A. Justin talked about how he says grounded in light of all the adoration, saying it's about keeping the people you love close to you and remembering where you came from.They then discussed his girlfriend, Selena Gomez. He said he likes to keep certain parts of their relationship private because he wants to have something special to him.He addressed the paternity lawsuit, saying things are being thrown at you, positive and negative. He took the test because he wanted to and have everything out in the open.
Justin's new CD, "Under the Mistletoe" is out and debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts. He highlighted the Christmas songs on it, saying we need some new ones. He had Barbara briefly sang together.

After break, Justing performed "Under the Mistletoe", which is available on his newest album. It was actually pretty good. He's a cutie. OMG Mary J Blige is performing with him! Wow! Now that woman can sing! If you are old school like me, you know exactly what I'm talking about. But it's weird to see Justin singing with her, calling her "shorty".

The next guests to appear were the final contestsants on Dancing with the Stars. Ricki Lake and Derek Hough came in 3rd place, Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke won 2nd. The grand winners were J.R. Martinez and KatrinaSmirnoff . Each gave a dancing performance highlighting their abilities.

Ricki and Derek were first. I thought Ricki looked very stiff, and at one point sorta missed a dance step or something. It was a bit awkward, especially since she was trying to insure her dress did not ride up. How did she get this far? Ricki said she lost between 20-25 pounds during the season and was happy to learn to dance with Derek. Derek said he loved work with Ricki.

Rob and Cheryl performed the foxtrot. OMG I thought Ricki was stiff; someone overstarched Robs clothes and he's dancing like a robot. He doesn't even look like he's trying. I'm sorry guy; this performance is sleep inducing. YAWN. Sherri apologized on behalf of the show for not thinking Rob could get as far as he did. Rob said he never imagined he would ever be in this position. He siad he's exauster (which must explain that crappy performance). Cheryl said Rob has grown as a person. Sherri is such a hypocrite; she's now talking about Rob's booty.
They then discussed Kim and Rob said Kim is going through a lot but the family is doing fine.

Finally J.R. and Katrina performed, dancing to the song"Jump, Dive and Wail". Now this was more energetic.
J.R. said America connected with him because he kept it real. He said he wants to continue to act and would like to write a book. He also enjoys motivational speaker. Unfortunately, J.R. was trying to talk about how important he and Katrina's partnership was and Barb abruptly cut him off saying "we gotta go". Ugh.

It's Friday. Probably one of the first Friday's that I say BLEH about. Kids go back to school on Monday and I'm sad about that. I've had a nice respite the last two weeks they've been off for holiday break and that ends in a couple of days. /sadface

The first "hot" topic of the day was Hasselbeck baking things this holiday for her child's school.
Really? Just a couple of days ago she was whining how difficult it was going to be cooking Thanksgiving dinner.
She said she usually signs up to give cups and napkins for the parties but this year decided to make food. She and her son, Taylor, made the cookies together (he looked so cute in the picture waiting for the cookies to be done!) and Hasselbeck was proud of herself for...baking....like the rest of us working moms. I got the feeling that the other hosts were like WTF are you making a big deal about baking cookies for? Barb even said "Can you imagine how much fun.. she must be... for Tim?" And she made a face.
You had to see...it was too funny.

Then Whoopi did this really weird segue to ask about the cutoff time to get out of a relationship. Apparently, if you don't get out now, you will have to buy that person a gift for Christmas. Barb said the best gift to give and receive costs no money. She also stated the downside to breaking up around the holidays is you have to spend New Year's alone.

After break, Whoopi went to the audience to ask about things that bug them. One member said she hate going to a funeral and seeing someone up front with a Bluetooth in their ear talking on the phone. Another person - who is a waitress - hates when her customers want her to discipline their child(ren). Whoopi says the parent is at fault and that she should tell them she waits tables and doesn't have kids. An elderly woman who walks with a cane hates when people are in the middle of the sidewalk holding a conversation. Whoopi told her to pretend she will hit them. Yet another audience member says she doesn't like the cars that are embellished during the holidays to look like reindeers

Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer were the first guests to appear. Viola and Octavia star in "The Help", a movie where they played maids during the 1960s. Viola had the cutest dress on. She and her husband recently adopted a little girl (too cute!) . She said the baby had to get used to her and it's been wonderful. Octavia talked about her acting career, saying it happened by accident. She worked behind the scenes as an intern and said Whoopi took her under her wings on one movie she was in.
Viola did not initially want to do "The Help", citing reason as she knew it would have to be done very carefully. She said she knew there would be a backlash from the African-American community. She did it because the events happened and the women (that were in the movie) were so humanized and this was a chance to go on the journey with her character. Octavia said what's great about the film is that its very timely and we're at the precipice of redefining who we are post 911. With people fighting for gay marriage and women's issues, this movie puts all that at the forefront.

The next guest was fraud expert Chuck Whitlock. He was there to talk about holiday frauds. He mentioned such scams like people setting up gift wrapping tables and swapping the contents with charcoal or fake Salvation Army Santas. He said you have to ask for USE OF PROCEEDS statement from people that are asking for money. (Remember that!)
Chuck thinks people should be careful with what info they share on social media sites like FaceBook and Twitter, saying thieves can check the info and gain access to your life or know when you are away from home.
He also advised to be wary of "sound alike" names.
Chuck also said to check the organization with the Better Business Bureau. Another thing to watch out for is purchasing gift cards. Chuck said buy them from behind the counter only and purchase them directly from the store and not online.

The next guest to appear was toy expert Elizabeth Warner. was there to discuss the hottest holiday toys. The ones featured were:

Whoopi showed off some rather odd shoes she was wearing. Personally, I did not care for them - particularly with the slouchy outfit she had on - but to each their own. :-/

Barbara's there. Which means a full out pimp of her 20/20 Special featuring our president, Barack Obama and the First Lady. It airs tonight at 10:00pm on ABC. Barbara hopes to interview him next year at this time, but noted he may not be at the White House. Joy said, "Yes he will" and the audience applauded.

The first "hot" topic of the day was researchers saying people who receive expensive items for Christmas are no more happier than those who get inexpensive items. Whoopi calls that bull. She says give a woman diamonds and she is your friend for the rest of the week. Sherri said if she opens up a gift from Sal and it's a tshirt, she's going to be "daggone upset". Hasselbeck talked about how long it takes for her to pick out a present for someone. Joy's daughter insists they not give any more toys (for the grandchild) so she plans to give money in a 529. Barbara has a friend that gives her a gift even though she requests that they not exchange gifts. She had decided to send the friend a thank you note but then gave in and bought a gift. Whoopi thinks Barb should have just sent the thank you note because she kept up her end of the bargain.

Meryl Streep was the first guest. Meryl is an actress who has worked in theatre, television and film. She is widely regarded as one of the most talented and respected actresses of the contemporary era.
Streep has received 16 Academy Award nominations, winning two, and 26 Golden Globe nominations, winning seven, more nominations than any other actor in the history of either award. The Iron Lady is an upcoming biographical British film about former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, portrayed by Meryl Streep. (Source: Wiki ). She said it was a little bit presumptuous for her to come in and do this part. Barb, of course, had to make it about her and show an interview she did with Margaret Thatcher - ya know, to compare Thatcher and Streep's performance portraying her. Meryl said the film shows the end of power and the life at it's waning edge. She called Thatcher's life "huge, rich, challenging and very controversial". Meryl thinks people still have a hard time with Thatcher because she's a woman and people hold women leaders to a harsher judgement.

Phyllida Lloyd appeared next . Phyllida is an English director, best known for her work in theatre and as the director of the most financially successful British film ever released, Mamma Mia!. She also directed "The Iron Lady". She said she had to direct Meryll on not smiling, as Thatcher rarely did herself. Phyllida also mentioned that the first day of rehearsal was daunting because she had to walk into a room of men and somehow not fall off the tightrope.

The next segment featured makeovers from The View's hair and makeup teams.

Mario Cantone and Joey McIntyre were the next to appear. Mario is a regular View guest and comic and actor and Joey McIntyre is a singer-songwriter and actor. He is best known as the youngest member of the group, New Kids on the Block. (Source: Wiki).

Fashionista Whoopi has on another black Amish bib-style dress, big white collared shirt, blue jeans and...green shoes. Really odd GREEN shoes.Oy.

First "hot" topic was about how Barbara is in a bad mood because she declined an invite to the Queen of England's event later this month and now regrets it. iThe Hasselbeck diagnosed this as Barb having PHS; Pre-Holiday Syndrome. She's saying it's happening across the world. Oh and just so you know, Barb bought out the envelope and invitation to show ~~off~~ us. She's so important, ya know. Hasselbeck told Barbara that she should have gone so she could meet a royal and fall in love (I swear, if I closed my eyes I would have thought the person saying that was 9 years old. But it's Hasselbeck we're talking about here, so....)
I'm moving on.

Next topic was Justin Bieber taking the DNA test to see if the baby he's accused of fathering is actually his. Sherri think it's a great thing he did that because he's sending a strong message that he's not the person to mess with. She also hopes he sues the woman accusing him of being her child's father.

They then talked about the Dancing with the Stars. Sherri loves this season because there is no dead ringer in the contest. Joy is rooting for J.R.

After break, they discussed GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann's appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show last night. Barbara thought she was funny. When asked one word she would use to describe Bachmann, Barbara declined to say. Whoopi said Bachmann is gorgeous but not presidential material.
They then asked Hasselbeck why Romney does not fully have voters' support and whether it is because of his religion. Hasselbeck talked about the wonderful things Mormons have done in this country. Walters said Romney is great but people don't like him. She also noted all his changes in positions (i.e. flip flopping) . Joy note that is Republicans called Sen. Kerry a flip flopper when he was running for president and now that charge is biting them in the behind. Barb is amazed that Newt Gingrich is on top now.

The first guest to appear was Hugh Jackman. Jackman is an actor and producer who is involved in film, musical theatre, and television. He is known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men series, as well as for his leads in Kate & Leopold, Van Helsing, The Prestige, and Australia. Hugh's current venture is a Broadway show titled "Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway". It's showing at the Broadhurst Theatre, which began performances on 25 October 2011 and will conclude on 1 January 2012. (Source: Wiki) He said he began on stage and while he loves being in film, it feels like home. Hugh said as a young child, he always remembered coming home to watch musicals. They then discussed how he interacts with the audience while he's on stage and how he auctioned off various itemsthat he wore. Sherri had bid on something and asked if she won, would he give her a kiss. Sal -Sherri's husband - did not like that so instead, Sherri gave her kiss to someone in the audience. It was a cute moment.

After the break, they talked about how - despite the dress code being casual - his dad showed up in full black tie attire to see Hugh perform at Carnegie Hall. Hugh said his dad stood out in the crowd and that he could see him from onstage.
Hugh said is another XMen coming and that they will start filming this summer.

The next guest was Tim Gunn. Tim is a fashion consultant and television personality. He was on the faculty of Parsons The New School for Design from 1982 to 2007 and was chair of fashion design at the school from August 2000 to March 2007, after which he joined Liz Claiborne as its chief creative officer. He is well-known as on-air mentor to designers on the reality television program Project Runway. Gunn's popularity on Project Runway led to his spin-off show, Bravo's "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style", as well as his book "A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style". Tim was there to discuss about a new show he's in called "The Revolution". It's a show where a woman is followed for a 5 month period and gets a life makeover - from fashion, to fitness, to health, to the home.
For holiday fashion, Tim Gunn says for the little black dress is best.He sees it as a canvas that you can decorate.
He also advises that for someone that does not know if something looks good on the to honestly look at yourself in the mirror. Barbara asked Tim to look at them and say whether any don't look good. Ahem. Tim skirted the question by saying the clothes we wear sends a message about how the world perceives us and each lady's clothes send different messages. Ahem.
Tim also talked about how often to purge your closet of clothes. He said he does so every six months by realistically assessing what you wear and what you don't.
"The Revolution" premieres this January on ABC

I hope you all had a great weekend and a wonderful Christmas.

OK, I have an after Christmas rant. I woke up and dressed quickly to go to Target to pick up one of those Christmas tree storage bags they had in the ad. I got there at 7 am, as they opened. I asked three employees where they were and none had a clue. They also had nonchalant, blase' attitudes. I went to service desk to see if they could look up the item to just see if they had any in store. She said without the item number, she can't look it up. Unfortunately, I did not have the item number handy - ya know, since I don't effin work there.

I tell ya, I've noticed a deep decline in Target's customer service in the past two years. I had boycotted them before because they were getting involved in a political issue latching themselves onto anti equality groups in Minnesota. But I decided to give them another try recently. I had been a shopper there for YEARS but I think this is the straw that broke the camel's back. They don't seem to give a damn about anything anymore.

On Today's Show: Chuck Nice, stars of "A Christmas Story", holiday edition of Whoopi's "Is It Just Me?"

The first "hot" topic of the day was Whoopi's house guests eating the lasagna Joy made for her. Sherri said that's why when Joy brings some to the studio, you have to hide it.
Hasselbeck showed a gift she had wrapped for her husband Tim. It was plaid and fashioned into a shirt with a ribbon made to like like a tie. It was done very very well. Joy joked that Hasselbeck is a good "white wrapper".

The next topic was the YouTube video of a Fed Ex man throwing the delivery (of a computer monitor) over a fence . Fed Ex issued a statement expressing their shock and assuring people the act would not be tolerated. Joy thinks the employee should be fired. Whoopi speculated there was some type of "beef" going on between the delivery driver and the customer. Ya know, because we don't know, we weren't there, two sides to the story. She tells us they will keep us updated on this story.
Whew. I'm so glad Whoopi and The View are on the case!

Next topic was Sherri buying her husband, Sal, a leather jacket for Christmas. Unfortunately, she was unable to find one to fit her husbands 6'6 frame. Bill Geddie came to the rescue and gave her one he had in his closet that he hardly wore because when he did, people made fun of him. Awwww.
Sal came on stage wearing the coat. I thought it looked a little too big but as long as he likes it. I also thought Bill looked better in it.
Before Sal left the stage, he kissed her. Sherri made the comment that her uterus moved. It is my belief that Sherri doesn't know what a uterus is.

After break, Whoopi did a holiday edition of "Is It Just Me?". Issues mentioned were: woman getting into an altercation at the store, grandkids not being satisfied with the present given to them, inappropriate holiday candy dispensers and the lady that pepper sprayed crowd on Black Friday.

They then showed funny Christmas videos.

In the next segment, Scott Schwartz and Zack Ward appeared in The View's installment of "Where are they Now". They were both stars in the movie "A Christmas Story", a 1983 Christmas comedy film based on the short stories and semi-fictional anecdotes of author and raconteur Jean Shepherd, including material from his books "In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash", and Wanda Hickey's "Night of Golden Memories. Whoopi opened the show today addressing the comments about her passing gas during last weeks interview with actress Claire Danes. She explained that there is a kid inside her that forgets she's an adult or some other nonsense excuse. She claims the noise came from her mouth. Okay whatever.

The next topic was Mitt Romney's appearance on David Letterman's show last night. He did the Top Ten List. Apparently, he's been criticized for being too stiff and robotic and this was a way to combat that. Sherri compared it to Bill Clinton going on the Arsenio Hall Show, saying it shows a lighter side of the man who is running. Whoopi suggested he make the "tree frog" noise like she did. Joy thought it was funny as well. Hasselbeck said Mitts numbers are growing.

Next topic was the death of Kim Jon Il. They discussed how many in Korea have no electricity and are starving. Joy discussed plans that the administration made to provide humanitarian aid to the country, however it's being held off now due to Il's death. She said it's best to do things behind the scenes instead of starting wars. Hasselbeck claimed we don't start wars and that working behind the scenes does not always work. Whoopi pointed out that Clinton worked well with Kim Jong Il but George W Bush came in and was perceived as being insulting towards Jong Il.

After break, they talked about the Kardashians release of their Christmas card. Hasselbeck decried the card release in 3D, saying she does not want someone jumping out at her on a Christmas card. Sherri said Kim's butt would look huge in 3D. Sherri asked whether Kris Humphries was originally supposed to be on the card. Hasselbeck bets he was photoshopped out of it. Whoopi said she did not care. Me either.

Next discussion was the mall that stopped a flash mob that had planned to breastfeed their babies. The mall said they don't have a policy against breastfeeding, however they do have one against demonstartions. Hasselbeck talked about how the flash mob should not have let on that they were going to do it.

Actor Sean Penn was allegedly confronted in a airport by actress Maria Conchita Alonzo for his support of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez. Whoopi asks if you should be walking up on people confronting them. Joy calls it celebrity on celebrity crime and public assault. Sherri said when someone says they don't want to talk to you then you are forcing yourself on them.

A recent piece on CNN said regifting is OK. Joy is fine with regifting. Sherri said she felt bad for regifting something to the person that gave it to her. Hasselbeck said "It's gotta be something good if you're regifting it, right?"

Fred Armisen was the first guest to appear. Dr. Jennifer Ashton, Dr. Steven Lamb and Dr. Doris Day appeared to answer viewere's medical questions. Topics discussed were Brazillian waxes, the newly approved over-the-counter pill that says it cures hangovers, risk of having multiple pregnacies, heart attacks and STD screening.

Sorry guys. I was running late (from actually running - no pun intended) and missed about 5 minutes of the show. When I tuned in, they were discussing super powers. Sherri talked about how she wanted the power of wisdom because Jeffrey asks a lot of questions that she does not have the answers for. Hasselbeck said she'd like to duplicate herself so she can get more done. Whoopi says she has super powers right now - she's invisible. Wish she'd make that awful hobo hat disappear.

Barbara's 20/20 interview with the Obamas airs this Friday

Next topic was Denvers Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow getting criticism for making religious gestures on the football field. Sherri thinks people are making more of an issue of it. Hasselback mentioned freedom of religion and freedom of speech and asked what's the big deal. Joy bought up the point that if someone were praying to Mohammed, would it go over well. Whoopi thinks the media is the one that's focusing on it and said this is nothing new. . Saturday Night Live had skits this past week about it.

After break, they discussed a billboard in New Zealand depicting the Virgin Mary looking shocked at a positive pregnacy test. Sherri said when she looks at the picture, she thinks for young girls would see that Mary had the baby and what an amazing miracle Jesus turned out to be. Whoopi thinks the picture showed the shock Mary must have felt upon hearing she was pregnant.

They then discussed the paparazzi snapping a picture of Suri Cruise having a public meltdown in a toy store. Joy jokingly compared it to Alec Baldwin having a breakdown on the airplane. Barbara talked about how tough it is being the child of a celebrity. Joy thinks when a child is having a tantrum, you should just leave them alone. Whoopi vehemently disagreed, saying she'd take the child home if he/she acted up in the store. Sherri said something about Jeffrey knowing the window of timewhere he knows his celebrity mom is distractedand can do what he wants. Whoopi said she should send him to her, which Sherri agreed (good thing Whoopi is not a phone sex operator).

They then discussed the TV Watchdog Group that is outraged Howerd Stern will be a judge on America's Got Talent. They call it an "act of desperation". Barb said when you meet him off the show, he's a very smart, terrific guy. Sherri said the reason people liked Simon Cowell was because he was harsh and sometimes mean but everone took away something they could use to change their performance. She thinks Howard will be a good judge on the show. Hasselbeck said Howard has longevity in the industry, has seen a lot, never withholds an opinion and not motivated by personal gain when talking about something.

The first segmnent consisted of Joy and Whoopi showcasing gifts grandmas or other relatives can give to children this year. Items featured were:

They opened the show talking about Hasselbeck doing a story for Good Morning America. The subject is stay at home moms who work as phone sex operators. Hasselbeck said the moms she spoke to say they do it for the steady work, benefits and that they are able to spend time with their kids. Sherri was asked if she would allow Jeffrey to play at a house where the mom is a phone sex operator. She said no and that she would not want him to be exposed to all the "stuff" they have around. Whoopi - who was a phone sex operator - said most women don't talk on the phone in the earshot of their kids and keep that life separate from the home life. The segment airs Monday on ABC.

Claire Danes was the first guest to appear. Claire is an actress of television, stage and film. She has appeared in roles as diverse as Angela Chase in My So-Called Life, as Juliet in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet, as Kate Brewster in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, as Yvaine in Stardust and as Temple Grandin in the HBO TV film Temple Grandin. She said it's well written and is the one of first shows that talks about our experience post 911.
While she was talking, I believe Whoopi passed gas. Yuck. Gross. Blech.
Claire mentioned that her husband does not want her to talk about the show because she doesn't want her to give plot spoilers.
The season finale of "Homeland" airs this Sunday.
On a side note, the interview was allll over the place and got sidetracked on too many occasions. I'd have liked to hear more from Claire but the interviewees were horrible.

Tracy Gold was the next guest to appear. Tracey is an actress and former child star best known for playing Carol Seaver on the 1980s sitcom Growing Pains. In early 2009, she co-hosted with Fred Roggin on the live show GSN Live. (Source Wiki)
Tracey stars in a new reality series called "Starve Secrets". Tracey battled anorexia for many years and seems to be in a good position to help women battle eating disorders, however, experts think treating people on TV is a bad idea. Tracey recounted how she was made the butt of fat jokes in the Growing Pain scripts and told to lose weight. She did and received a lot of compliments. She said at one point, she was down to 80 pounds. Eventually, the producers called her into their office to tell her she needed to gain weight. Tracey said it was an extremely long road to recovery. She said it was important to shed light on eating disorders by doing the show because she thinks there is a glamorization of it and she wants to show what it's really like. Tracey feels if people watch the show, they will not want to go down that road. She said signs to look for to determine if someone has a problem are restrictions of food, critiquing their body and social withdrawal/isolation.
An interesting subject. Tracey had some really good things to say but was constantly being interrupted and cut off by the hosts.

Andy Dick appeared next. Andy is a comedian, actor, musician and television/film producer. His first regular television role was on the short-lived but highly influential Ben Stiller Show. In the mid-1990s, he had a long-running stint on NBC's NewsRadio. He briefly had his own program, The Andy Dick Show on MTV, and he is also noted for his outlandish behavior from a number of Comedy Central Roasts. (Source: Wiki)
Andy no longer wants to be a stand up comic, saying it's too much responsibility and your sole job is to get on stage and make people laugh. He said if they are not laughing, you are not doing your job.Andy had moments of severe hardship and pain. People were around to help but there came a point where they stopped. He said that made him finally realize he needed serious help. He's in therapy twice a week and gets drug tested by his own request.
Andy has a new movie out called "Division III Football" and is only available through Video on Demand. He also performed a little dance skit, which I must say was kinda cute. Awkward, but cute.

Lisa Lillien was the final guest. Lillian is a media executive, who has also held positions at Nickelodeon and Warner Bros and runs the "Hungry Girl" subscription service promoting healthy eating. Hungry Girl has been product placed in several Nickelodeon shows, such as Drake and Josh and iCarly. Lisa was there to highlight holiday food and drink. She offered tips on going to holiday parties, like don't show up hungry and don't start grabbing whatever is in front of you.The food she bought (that are also low fat) were:

I missed the first 15 minutes of the show. When I tuned in, it was the tail end of a conversation regarding Howard Stern. The only part I heard was Whoopi saying , "[...] But Howard Stern, you the best person in the world to do spin, and that's why we thought of you".

After break, they discussed the judge that issued a temporary restraining order against a guy that says God told him to kill Selena Gomez. The judge won't issue a permanent one until the accused comes before him in court to defend himself against the charges. Whoopi took the opportunity to go on her "What the hell is wrong with you" tirade against the judge.

They then discussed Mitt Romney reportedly calling Newt Gingrich "zany". They showed a clip of the interview and it appeared Romney was using the word the interviewer said. Joy wondered if Romney is a little zany for making a 12 hour drive with his dog strapped to the hood of the family car. Sherri was shocked at that info (where has she been?)

Tonight is Joy's last airing of her show.. She said she's happy her show lasted longer than the Kardashian wedding and will have time to work on her hip hop career.

I am SO running late today. Woke up late, got lunch started late. Then I made the mistake of going with the new blogger interface to edit/create posts and it's sooo confusing. It's taking me three times as long to figure out the new controls so that's slowing me down. Argggh.
