I guess BW will be there on Monday and Tuesday. Monday - the rehashing of the tragic, premature death of a beloved actor - his grieving widow there to grill - she salivates at that kind of interview. I expect her to take the lead. Tuesday - kissing up to the Trumps day - she'll be there. Wednesday - former VP - BW most likely there for that, and don't they tape for Friday then?

Joel Osteen is the smarmiest person I can think of who's still alive and on TV. (His late father would beat him out.) He's probably the top example of an over-the-top religious evangelical Fox-news-enthusiast. Do a search for him and you'll hit Joel Osteen ministries and a bunch of Fox news links from there. I think the hosts' interactions with him could be interesting. Whoopi has such disrespect for everyone non-Hollywood-legend-related lately that she could be even ruder than usual.

Right on, Eva. You took the words right out of my mouth. Looking forward to BaWa's 'low, reverent voice' asking Lisa the questions she thinks 'people want to know'.

I know! The "low, reverent voice" will be in full effect, I'm sure.

Ivanka Trump/new last name puzzles me. She's a very smart woman. If I were her, I'd be on my fantastic honeymoon with my new husband, not slumming it on The View. Maybe she is doing it for her mom.

You called it Eva - I think you are right - Walters' low reverent voice and predictable unoriginal questions feigning solemnity and respect.....

so tell me Lisa, 'what do you miss most about Patrick'?

so tell us Lisa, 'what do you intend to do now with your life?'

so tell us Lisa, 'what was the most dificult part of his dying last days?'

so tell us Lisa, 'did he have any dying last wishes?'

so tell us Lisa, ' did you ever lose hope?'

so tell us lIsa, 'do you have any regrets?'

so tell us Lisa...oh wait we have a commercial break

Oh, we're back. so tell us Lisa, 'do you ever think you will dance again?'

so tell us LIsa, how do you think Patrick will want to be rememebred?'

so tell us Lisa. 'what did Patrick say about me, Barbara Walters?'

Ad nauseaum .

Ivanka and Ivana , Al Gore, America Ferrea and Joel Osteen I like. Aisha Tyler, Shepard Smith and Kathryn Joosten are ok. Guy Fieri + or -.
all in all looks like a cool line up but they will find a way to mess it up with ther interviews.

Diane, I'm sure BaWa will be contacting you with 'a View' to acquiring your questioning skills. LOL

Thanks Stacee , for the update.
I like Guy and Al Gore. I'll look forward to your recaps and watching clips. It will be interesting to hear what Shep has to say about Faux News. I don't know that much about Joel Osteen, but it seems he has a huge following.

Lisa Nieimi was on Oprah last Friday (or was it Thursday?) discussing her life with Patrick.

And also promoting her book written (with Patrick) about his illness. I guess that perhaps she will be making her rounds on talk shows.

Joel Osteen? Perfect example of a "snake-oil" salesman.... for people who are desperately searching for someone to lead them. He seems creepy to me. :-z

(#1.) Eva said... "Whoopi has such disrespect for everyone non-Hollywood-legend-related."

That is so true!

For anyone who wants to find out about Joel, before his appearance on the View, check out his wiki page, and seek other sources. There's some good info there. He seems to get criticism from both sides. While I'm very skeptical of Joel, I'm not going to knock others who follow him; who may try to live right and treat others in a fair way.

Just to be clear "people who are desperately searching for someone to lead them" IS NOT a statement which knocks anyone.

Some people seek and follow religion, mental health professionals, counselors, etc. for leadership and guidiance. And yes, sometimes out of desperation... I have been there.

Just to be even clearer I said "I wasn't going to knock anyone."

"Some people seek and follow religion, mental health professionals, counselors, etc. for leadership and guidiance. And yes, sometimes out of desperation... I have been there. "

True, and I don't see anything wrong with that. As long as they aren't hurting anyone. Live and let live.

I think Joel Osteen is a great preacher. And he preaches from the Bible, which messages are enormously powerful, loving, and forgiving.

However, he is completely patriarchal in his views, and women are second class helpmates to men. Maybe he's toned that down on his TV show, but I used to watch this idiocy on my cable channel 15 years ago (local, in Houston) in disbelief.

Just want to add that I really enjoyed everyone's comments here about this week's schedule! You are hot, posters!

I wondered also why Ivanka Trump is to be on the View instead of on her honeymoon. I read that the trip is to be in Africa (probably one of those luxe safaris). Is the honeymoon delayed?

I really like Kathryn Joosten, and also look forward to seeing Ivana Trump and Al Gore, among others.

I totally agree Tricia... he is creepy, as is his wife..... A perfect example of using religion to amass a fortune. His message is more about himself and his books than it is about god and the bible.
